THINGS I’m ENJOYING: Fall Edition

Apple Watch Ultra

Enjoying isn't the right word. Absolutely still "over the moon" about it is much more accurate. Since I walked into our local Apple Store on September 23rd to see if they were available, I have been obsessed with MY Apple Watch Ultra. Five of my last six blog posts have been about the watch. I strongly urge you to look back at some of that writing to gain a better perspective as to why I am still "over the moon" about this amazing piece of technology.

Disney +

We just got new iPhones from Verizon. With these phones came free subscriptions to Disney + and ESPN +. Why is this significant? I've been wanting to watch, The Beatles: Get Back, directed by Peter Jackson. My wife and I watched it over three consecutive weekends. I was literally beside myself while I watched The Beatles write and rehearse 14 new songs they planned for some form of a live show. That live show ended up being the famous rooftop concert at London's Savile Row. Who knew that The Beatles were the creators of Reality TV? I'm so glad we watched it and I look forward to watching it again as well as more things on Disney +.

ESPN+

I've only used this channel a few times since getting the service to watch Monday Night Football. It's been really nice to be able to watch singer of the games. I plan on spending some time exploring more of what the channel has to offer soon.

Time Block Planner

This is a thought technology I learned from listening to Cal Newport's podcast. It's a system for keeping your work week organized and efficient. Check out my blog post about it for more details. What I'm really enjoying from this, 10 weeks in, is how the system has kept me focused on what is important, relevant to my job. I feel like I'm not missing things. I feel like I'm doing things more consistently.

Floating Keyboard on iPad Pro

I don't normally write about 5 things I'm enjoying but felt compelled to do so this time. Last week I started playing around with the Floating Keyboard option on the iPad Pro. I'd read some people's experiences about using the iPad as a touch device and thought, it's been awhile since I've taken my iPad out of the Magic Keyboard set up, let's have some fun. I did some experimental writing then came back to it this weekend to finish this post. One thing I'm noticing is that the act of writing is slower, more thought out, as I decide what to write next. I'm using my 2nd Gen Apple Pencil to swipe type. I'm Agassi noticing that the experience feels less formal than when I'm typing on the Magic Keyboard.
