Athlytic: I think I have found my “go to” fitness app…

I have been on a quest to find my “go to” fitness app since retiring last year. Something to help me read and interpret the data I generate that seems, now that I am using Athlytic, buried in the Health app on my iPhone. A week into using the Athlytic app, I feel like I am on top of my physical fitness, my stress level, and my Sleep data. The complications I have placed on my beloved OG Apple Watch Ultra provide me all l need to know during the day as evidenced in this pic…

Directly under the time you will find a series of complications; 6 to be exact. I refer to them throughout the day.

From the top left to right they are…

Recovery-to what degree is my body ready to perform today.

Exertion-an indication of my cardiovascular load over the course of a day.

Sleep-how much sleep did I get and what was the quality.

Bottom left to right complications include…

Pulse-my current pulse.

Stress-out a score of 100 am I low, moderate or high.

Battery-like a battery on the iPhone, how charged up am I throughout the day.

Anytime I want more than what the complications provide, I can either touch a complication on the watch and be taken to a screen that explains the number I am seeing within the context of my day or, for a more detailed dive, I open the app on my iPhone. Another cool feature is something called Athlytic Age. This age shows how my daily “habits and training are shaping [my] body’s true rate of aging—whether [I’m] trending younger, older, or right on track. Right now I am trending 6 years younger than my actual age. Go me!

I have several apps I am subscribed to that give me some of what I get in the complete package that is the Athlytic app. I am seriously considering letting those subscriptions run out and not renewing them. If you are tired of chasing down your health data or frustrated that you are paying for several apps to get what you want I strongly urge you to consider giving Athlytic a try.
